The following are
CARDS 4 FRIENDS League Rules.
Cases Rules apply along with
Cards 4 FRIENDS League Rules.

1. THERE WILL BE NO AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR TOWARD TDs, ADMINS, OR MEMBERS. IF YOU DO, THEN YOU WILL BE BOXED FOR 3 DAYS.

2. IF YOU ARE AGGRESSIVE IN THE LOBBY OR AT A TOURNEY OR LEAGUE TABLE, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO STOP. IF YOU CONTINUE TO SWEAR, YOU CAN RECEIVE 1 TO 90 DAYS IN THE PENALTY BOX, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY. WE ARE ALL ADULTS. THEREFORE, WE ASK THAT YOU ALWAYS BE CONSIDERATE OF ALL STAFF AND MEMBERS. NOT ALL OF OUR MEMBERS FIND SWEARING APPROPRIATE. IF YOU SWEAR EXCESSIVELY (OVER 3 CUSS WORDS) BEFORE YOU ARE WARNED, YOU CAN AND WILL BE BOXED 1 - 90 DAYS. SO PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SWEARING.

3. NO FIGHTING OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR IN THE LOBBY WILL BE TOLERATED. THIS RUINS EVERYONES FUN. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOMEONE, PLEASE TAKE IT PRIVATE. IF YOU CANNOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, PLEASE BRING IT TO AN ADMINS ATTENTION, AND WE WILL TRY TO HELP YOU SOLVE IT. ANY FIGHTING IN THE LOBBY WILL RESULT IN 1 TO 90 DAYS IN THE PENALTY BOX, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE SITUATION.

4. SIGNING UP MULTIPLE NAMES IN CANASTA 4 FRIENDS IS NOT ALLOWED. IF YOU HAVE 2 OR MORE IDs IN THE LEAGUE, PLEASE REMOVE ALL BUT 1 OF THE IDs. IF YOU ARE FOUND HAVING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS WITHOUT LETTING AN ADMIN KNOW THE SITUATION, YOU WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING, AND ALL BUT 1 ID WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE, LEAVING ONLY THE FIRST ID YOU HAD IN THE LEAGUE. IF YOU CONTINUE SIGNING UP MULTIPLE IDs IN THE LEAGUE, ALL OF YOUR MULTIPLE IDs WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE AND YOUR ORIGINAL ID WILL BE BOXED FOR 14 DAYS.

5. SIGNING UP ANY IDs WHILE IN THE BOX WILL RESULT IN THE DUPLICATE IDs BEING KICKED IMMEDIATELY AND THE ORIGINAL ID BOXED FOR AN ADDITIONAL 3 DAYS (PER ID FOUND IN THE LEAGUE).

6. NO FORFEITING (FF) OF GAMES IN LEAGUE MATCHES OR TOURNEYS. IF YOU FF ON YOUR OPPONENT IN A LEAGUE MATCH OR TOURNEY GAME, YOU WILL GET YOU 3 DAYS IN THE PENALTY BOX. YOU WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING FOR THE FIRST OFFENSE. AFTER THAT, YOU WILL BE BOXED.

7. IN A TOURNEY YOU ARE ALLOWED 3 BOOTS FROM SHG. ON THE 4TH BOOT, YOU WILL DQ. OR YOU WILL DQ AFTER 10 MINUTES OF MIA TIME, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST (5 MINUTES FOR SPEED AND DOUBLES GAMES IN PROGRESS). AFTER THAT ALLOCATED TIME, THE TD WILL FIND A SUB TO FINISH THE GAME FOR DOUBLES, TAG TEAM, 3x3 or 4x4 ONLY, NEVER FOR SINGLES. MIAs ARE NOT TO BE USED AS AN EXCUSE FOR HOLDING UP TOURNEY PLAY. THE 3 BRBs ALLOWED PER GAME WILL BE TIMED AND GO AGAINST THE 10-MINUTE MIA TIMER.

8. IF YOU SUSPECT A PLAYER OR TEAM HAS CHEATED IN A GAME AGAINST YOU, PLEASE NOTIFY AN ADMIN ABOUT THIS, AND DO NOT TAKE IT PUBLIC, EITHER AT THE TABLE OR IN THE LOBBY. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT ACCUSING A PERSON OR TEAM OF CHEATING, YOU WILL BE PLACED IN THE PENALTY BOX FOR 1 DAY THE 1ST TIME, 10 DAYS THE 2ND TIME, AND 30 DAYS THE 3RD TIME. YOU ARE NOT TO CONTACT YOUR PARTNER ABOUT YOUR CARDS OR THE GAME IN ANY WAY DURING A DOUBLES GAME (TOURNEY GAME OR LEAGUE MATCH) AND THIS INCLUDES PHONE CONVERSATIONS OR CAMS SHOWING EACH OTHERS CARDS. ANYONE FOUND TO BE CONTACTING THEIR PARTNER IN ANY WAY ABOUT THEIR CARDS DURING A GAME WILL DQ AND BE BOXED. A SUB WILL FINISH THE GAME. IF YOUR PARTNER RESPONDS TO YOU, THE ENTIRE TEAM WILL DQ AND BOTH OF YOU WILL BE BOXED FOR 1-90 DAYS DEPENDING ON THE EXTENT OF THE CHEATING.


9. MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN 3 GAMES AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN A MEMBER IS FOUND TO BE IN MORE THAN 3 GAMES, WHETHER THEY ARE TOURNEY GAMES OR LEAGUE MATCHES, OR WHETHER THE MEMBER IS IN ANOTHER LOBBY, HE OR SHE WILL DQ FROM THE LAST SINGLES GAME THAT THEY JOINED. TDs ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PUT A TIMER ON THAT MEMBER. THE REASON FOR THE HARSHNESS PERTAINING TO THIS ISSUE IS THAT IT CAUSES A LOT OF DELAYS IN TOURNEYS DUE TO SLOW PLAY, ADDS WORK FOR THE STAFF AND CREATES CONFLICT BETWEEN THE MEMBERS. WE HATE TO HAVE TO DQ ANYONE FROM A GAME BECAUSE THEY ARE IN MORE THAN 3 GAMES. SO, PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS OF THIS WHEN JOINING TOURNEYS AND/OR LEAGUE MATCHES.

10. CARDS 4 FRIENDS HAS THE 3 + 1 RULE. MEMBERS MAY PLAY IN 3 GAMES AT THE SAME TIME IF THE 4th TOURNEY IS A DOUBLES. THIS MEANS THAT MEMBERS MAY PLAY IN UP TO 4 DOUBLES AT THE SAME TIME. IF A MEMBER IS IN 4 DOUBLES, THEY MUST NOT BE IN ANY SINGLES. MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IN MORE THEN 3 SINGLES GAMES AT THE SAME TIME.

11. DELIBERATE SLOW PLAY IN TOURNEY GAMES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE SLOW PLAY WARNINGS IF THE TD DETERMINES THE PLAYER IS NOT PLAYING IN A TIMELY MANNER. IF THE GAME REACHES THE TIME LIMIT FOR THAT PARTICULAR TOURNEY AND IT IS NOT FINISHED, THE PLAYER WHO WAS GIVEN THE SLOW PLAY WARNING OR WARNINGS WILL DQ FROM THAT TOURNEY. CARDS 4 FRIENDS SLOW PLAY RULE IS THIS: YOU HAVE 30 SECONDS TO DRAW. THIS IS TIMED BY A CLOCK OR TIMER. YOU GET 2 WARNINGS FOR SLOW PLAY. THE 3RD TIME YOU PLAY SLOW, YOU WILL DQ.

12. IN A SINGLES TOURNEY, IF A PLAYER GOES MIA WITH 1 CARD REMAINING TO BE DRAWN, THE TD WILL RUN A 5-MINUTE TIMER. IF AFTER 5 MINUTES, THE PLAYER HAS NOT RETURNED, THE HOSTING TD WILL SIT AND DRAW THE LAST CARD TO FINISH THE GAME.

13. IN A SINGLES TOURNEY, IF A PLAYER GOES MIA WITH THE GAME IN THE LAST HAND (3800 POINTS OR MORE), A STAFF SUB WILL BE FOUND TO COMPLETE THE GAME. THE SUB WILL PLAY 1 HAND ONLY. IF THE GAME IS NOT OVER AFTER 1 HAND, THEN THE GAME WILL BE CANCELLED.

14. IN A TOURNEY, PLAYERS HAVE 3 MINUTES AFTER PAIRINGS ARE POSTED IN THE LOBBY TO MAKE THEIR TABLES FOR SINGLES AND DOUBLES. THE PLAYER (OR PLAYERS IN DOUBLES OR MULTIS) WHO IS ON THE LEFT IN THE PAIRINGS INVITES. ANY MEMBER OF A TEAM MAKE MAKE THE TABLE AND INVITE. IF THE 3 MINUTES OF TIME EXPIRES, THE PLAYER (OR PLAYERS IN DOUBLES OR MULTIS) ON THE RIGHT IN THE PAIRINGS WILL BE ASKED TO MAKE THE TABLE, AND THEY WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE SEAT COLOR AND SIT FIRST. AT THIS POINT, HOWEVER, IT BECOMES A RACE, AND THE FIRST PLAYER ON EITHER TEAM WHO MAKES THE TABLE GETS TO CHOOSE SEAT COLOR AND SIT FIRST. THE TD WILL TAKE THE FIRST INVITE THEY GET.

15. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE TD TO COME TO THE TABLE AND SPAM THE RULES BEFORE YOU START YOUR GAME. ONCE THE TD HAS SPAMMED THE RULES AND THE GAME HAS STARTED, THE TD WILL LEAVE THE TABLE. PLAYERS ARE TO INVITE THE TD BACK TO THE TABLE IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS SUCH AS MIA OR SLOW PLAY. IF THERE IS A DQ, AND BOTH PLAYERS AGREE THAT IT IS A DQ, THEN THEY MAY CANCEL THE GAME WITHOUT INVITING THE TD BACK TO THE TABLE. HOWEVER, IF 1 PLAYER DOES NOT AGREE THAT THERE IS A DQ, THEN PLEASE INVITE THE TD BACK TO THE TABLE. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR GAME IF YOU DO NOT AGREE THAT THERE IS A DQ UNLESS THE TD SAYS IT IS A DQ.

16. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP MEANS THAT ALL PLAYERS MUST SAY GH AND GG AT THE TABLE. WHEN THE GAME IS OVER, BOTH PLAYERS MUST POST WINS AND LOSSES IN THE LOBBY. EXAMPLES: won 22 WWWP gg OR lost 22WWWP gg. PLEASE TYPE THE NAME OF THE GAME AND YOUR OPPONENTS NAME TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE TD TO ADVANCE THE ROUNDS. IT IS ALWAYS NICE TO SAY TY TO YOUR OPPONENT AND HOST.

17. START TIME FOR GAMES IS THE TIME POSTED IN THE LOBBY WITH THE PAIRINGS.

18. IF SHG GOES DOWN, PLAYERS AND TDs ARE EXPECTED TO WAIT 15 MINUTES FOR SHG TO COME BACK UP. IF SHG IS BACK BEFORE 15 MINUTES IS UP, THE TDs WILL GIVE 5 MORE MINUTES FOR THE PLAYERS TO GET BACK INTO THE LOBBY BEFORE THEY PUT TIMERS ON. IF SHG IS BACK UP SOME TIME AFTER THE 15 MINUTES IS UP, IT IS UP TO THE TD TO GET THE PLAYERS BACK INTO THE LOBBY IF THE TD CHOOSES TO CONTINUE THE TOURNEY. IF THE TD CANNOT GET ALL THE PLAYERS BACK INTO THE LOBBY, THEY MUST DELETE THE TOURNEY. ALSO, THE TD MAY DELETE THE TOURNEY AFTER 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ASKING THE PLAYERS IF SHG IS NOT BACK UP.

19. We host a variety of tournaments including skill, non-skill, doubles, swiss and more! Slow play will NOT be tolerated that means if they taking a minute to take there turn politely ask them to speed up. Most games should last no longer than 45 minutes. Time is set at the end of posting of rounds so tables will have same amount of time If the game is in the last hand at the end of 45 minutes it will be allowed to finish. At the end of 60 minutes if not in last hand Hosting STAFF will call the game. BRB's should be no longer than 3 minutes. No more than 3 BRB's per player will be allowed in any game. After 3 minutes a timer will be set and stopped upon the players return to play and that time will be subtracted from the 10 minutes they are allowed away. If a player is not in the lobby when a game begins or goes MIA during the game the Hosting STAFF will set a timer and the player has 10 minutes to arrive. If they do not arrive in 10 min they forfeit the game and their opponent advances. If the player is missing at the beginning of the game they have 3 minutes to either make or get to table then timer will be set from pair post time When a player is booted from the table the TD will start the timer. When the player returns the Hosting Staff will stop the timer and announce how many minutes Used. Each player has a maximum of 10 minutes away from the game. Subs for Missing or Mia only allowed in Double Teams or Doubbs! Single Teams Subs Not Allowed in CARDS 4 FRIENDS! CARDS 4 FRIENDS DON'T RUN THE RULES IN LOBBY. ALL RULES ARE POST ON ALL TOURNEY PAGES. HOSTED MAY RUN THE RULES AT TABLE IF RULES NEEDED!

21.BEHAVIOR - REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE REPRESENTING CARDS 4 FRIENDS LEAGUE IN YOUR PLAYING AND CONDUCT. NEVER BELITTLE YOUR OPPONENT OR OPPONENTS OR LEAVE GAMES BECAUSE YOU ARE UPSET THAT YOU ARE LOSING OR HAVE LOST A GAME. IF YOU CONTINUALLY CONDUCT YOURSELF IN AN UNSPORTSMANLIKE MANNER, YOU WILL RECEIVE A WARNING. FAILURE TO HEED THE WARNING WILL GET YOU BOXED.

22. CHEATING - THERE ARE MANY FORMS OF CHEATING. ANY CHEATING IS CONSIDERED A BOXABLE OFFENSE. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO CHEAT! WE ALL COME ACROSS PLAYERS WHO PURPOSELY DQ SO THEY WILL NOT LOSE THEIR SHG RATING POINTS. IF YOUR OPPONENT DQs AND YOU ARE AHEAD IN THE SCORE, YOU MAY MAKE THE CHOICE OF CONTINUING PLAY OR TAKING THE WIN.
